When we arrived at the home in 1997, this porch was not here. The owners have a charcoal sketch by noted Wilmington artist Claude Howell which depicts a porch on this side of the home. With the help of Tim Bottoms with the New Hanover County Museum, an old photo was located that showed what was originally here. We duplicated the porch from the photo. |
