Built around 1920's, this home was often used in the filming of the Matlock Series for television. D.P. Thomas Const. did a complete interior and exterior renovation including new windows, all new baths, new kitchen, and the conversion of a covered porch to a sun room. A dramatic kitchen features high gloss hand built cabinetry that is also used in master bedroom to increase storage space.
This home underwent and complete exterior renovation as well as having the most stunning bath remodel to date. Bernie Thuersam / Shore Line Designs, created a concept and the owner's creativity and artistic talent came to fruition as she developed the details. Limestone floors, back splashes, shower and Jacuzzi deck feature an inlaid Agean Wave design. Radiant heat was installed under the floor tiles to add warmth on winter days.
A charming cottage in Forest Hills had a very small and dingy kitchen. A young couple from Virginia with a flare for design and courage for renovation, had D.P.Thomas Const. remove a few walls, doors, and change out the cabinets with a very efficient lay out The project changed this ugly duckling into a knock-out kitchen open to the living area. Rebecca Laymon Interiors worked with the owners to combine space, light, and color making this project a stunning home remodel.
A charming Prairie Style home in the Historic Overlay District had the barest kitchen I have ever walked into. This kitchen has undergone a transforming kitchen remodel. Using cherry cabinetry, solid surface tops, glass doors, low voltage lighting in and under cabinets, this renovation adds drama and functionality to this kitchen. Custom breakfast booth built by our own "Frosty" who also did the bath cabinets in the Lumina Ave. home above.
This project involved the complete renovation of an older home. Porches were added on the front and side along with a pool, spa, and loggia in the rear, and detached garage. The architects were Anna and Chuck Dietsche of Dietsche and Dietsche Architects, Wilmington, NC.
Waterfront upscale condos built in as adaptive reuse of an early waterfront warehouse. This project was a real jewel. It gave us a chance to work with a most imaginative and talented architect. Anna Dietsche has the ability to envision the unusual while keeping an eye on the practical details of construction, a very talented lady.
